Nozzle heaters reach a higher 400°C operating temperature than conventional mica band heaters (250°C max), with negligible effect from material spillage and efficient heat transfer through an inner brass collet for accurate temperature control at the nozzle tip — good for engineering plastics like nylon-66 and glass-filled compounds. All standard sizes are fitted with 1000mm long leads and a J-type built-in thermocouple, protected by a stainless steel flexible conduit cover. Coil-type nozzle heaters (open coil, SS-covered, or brass-lined) and mica nozzle heaters (models SN-B/SN-SS, 6–8 W/sq cm) are also available for hermetically-sealed, contamination-resistant applications.
